Delivery of a 7.3m Living Cabin with Electric Storage Box Staircase and Electric Extension Platform on Mercedes Arocs 3351 6x6
An interior dream in cream and oak, wrapped in a technically highly equipped expedition vehicle, was delivered to our customers. The highlight - the two electrically extendable platform elements.
Living Cabin
The living cabin was built according to the FAS principle with a massive self-supporting steel frame and floating GRP sandwich panels. With 70mm thick outer walls, the cabin is exceptionally well insulated. After painting in the metallic paint of the base vehicle, dimmable ambient lights and numerous air rails with keder rails were mounted alongside side marker lights.
Interior
The clean, bright interior is complemented by wood elements in oak finish. The round seating area in supple cream-coloured cowhide leather invites you to relax in style.
The cabin was equipped with a special smart home control system for expedition vehicles.
Seating Area
The generous round seating area is the first thing you notice when entering the vehicle. Slightly angled backrest cushions increase seating comfort. The water tanks are located beneath the seating area.
Kitchen and Hallway
The 1.5m long Corian Linen kitchen worktop features a 2-plate induction hob and a scratch-resistant BLANCO sink in soft white with a high-quality GROHE fitting. The worktop also has a foldable extension creating a generous total length of 2m.
Bathroom/WC
The spacious bathroom can be separated from the living and sleeping areas with 2 sliding doors. The GROHE shower fitting is used in both fresh water and continuous shower mode. With this Shower-Loop, the shower water is recycled and reheated at the push of a button.
Sleeping Area
The double bed, equipped with large windows on both sides and a large roof hatch, features two full-size mattresses (0.9 x 2.0m) plus a filling mattress between them.
Exterior
Base Vehicle Preparations
The first work on the Arocs after factory delivery includes frame shortening, relocating compressed air tanks, the AdBlue system and batteries. A fuel tank system with a total capacity of 780L was installed.
Levelling Jack System
A hydraulic levelling jack system for vehicles up to 30t was mounted. The system from WOLF Hydraulik is specifically designed for expedition vehicles in this weight class.
Exterior Staircase, Extension Platform and Storage Boxes
The storage box staircase with side access was extended with a transition step for combination with the extension platform. The two independently and continuously controllable extension platform elements connect at exactly one level. At 1.6 x 1.8m each, they form a generous outdoor seating area.
Rear Carrier
The mounted Rear Carrier XL is manufactured in proven construction. The double telescopic extension allows lowering to ground level. The rear carrier has a self-weight of approx. 400kg and a payload of 875kg.
We wish our customers all the best and safe travels always!
